This 1894 Map of the City of Providence contains fine street detail and Providence landmarks. The map is a colored lithograph drawn to accompany a City of Providence business directory published in 1896. The purpose of the map was to provide businesses and their customers with a map to locate places of business within the city and means of transportation for shipping, transit and travel.
On the back of the map is an advertisement for a Rhode Island local real estate agent. The map would have been useful locating properties on the market.
